Challenge: Use existing technology and imagination to show how creative play is an essential skill set to "Rebuild the World".
Audience: ADHD 5-10 yrs who are struggling understand what having ADHD entails. Who cannot care for a pet due to allergies, space etc.
Fact:  "Children with ADHD have an overactive imagination as opposed to a learning disability."
Insight: ADHD and imagination go hand in hand.
Big idea: The ultimate power tool
Introducing “lego Creatures”, an extension of lego life where we ask children to repurpose old bricks and make an animal of their choice. The creature could be a flying pig or a shark with wheels there is no limit to what they can make.
They can bring this creature to life using of Augmented reality, all they will have to do is open the camera in the Lego life app, and scan the creature to render it into their own virtual buddy that they can take care of!
The “My Creature Diary” on the app where there can be a weekly summary that parents can review the creatures happiness. This is a measurement on how well the child has cared for it and achieved plus tracking their ADHD which can be then shared with the doctor.
The child will learn responsibility through caring for their animal, minus the limits of the real world and that their ADHD is a power tool for imagination.
